EmployersEMPLOYERS and AIR QUALITY

You've put a recycling bin in the office breakroom, and people are using it—ready to go greener?

Clear the Air Tennessee is partnering with companies large and small across the state to encourage SIMPLE changes in how their employees get to work.

How Your Business can Clear the Air
  • Offer incentives—lunch once a month, premium parking--to employees that take public transportation or carpool to work.
  • Offer to offset the cost of taking public transportation to work even a few times a week.
  • Offer flex time and telecommuting options: Taking cars off the road during peak traffic times — or off the road altogether, when employees work some hours from home—can make a big difference in Tennessee's air quality.
  • Promote the SIMPLE steps in your workplace to help employees learn to reduce emissions and pollution during their commutes.

How Clear the Air can Work for You
Make it public! Making a commitment to help your employees Clear the Air is newsworthy stuff. Shout it from the mountaintops in press releases, email blasts, even contact your local news media to highlight your efforts.

You'll win publicity, exposure, and even new business when your client base understands you're taking extra steps to improve air quality for all of us.
